ZUR FRAGE DER LUNAREN ZEICHEN IN DER OSTERINSELSCHRIFT

In dieser Studie beschäftigt sich der Autor ausführlich mit der Frage der lunaren Zeichen in der Osterinselschrift. Es sind die drei sichelförmigen Grapheme 40, 41 42. Die drei lunaren Zeichen gehören formenkundlich und begrifflich zusammen, müssen aber als drei distinkte Logogramme verstanden und behandelt werden. Aufgrund einer mannigfaltigen Textanalyse weist der Autor dem Zeichen 42 die Lesung pura zu.

SOME HUMAN FIGURES AND HAND FORMS IN THE WRITING OF EASTER ISLAND

The aim of this paper is to describe the mutual compatibility of a set of human figures with that of hand forms in the writing of Easter Island. Naturally this article bears a tentative character and it should be followed by a detailed investigation of the occurrence of particular characters at least in their immediate environment. This sort of comparison of the particular characters and of their distribution might help penetrate into their probable meaning and role in the texts.

SYSTEM OF TENSES IN BENGALI AND THEIR MORPHEMIC STRUCTURE

This study is an attempt at setting up a system of verb tenses in Bengali using four distinctive features, i.e., repetition (r), perfectiveness (pf), simultaneity (S), and finiteness (F). Later on, an attention is paid to the morphemic structure of Bengali verb tenses and then we try to obtain a scheme which could operate as a general structural model for all forms of Bengali verb in all tenses.

SHORT STORIES IN THE SECOND VOLUME OF CREATION QUERTERLY

Creation Society was the second most important literary association in China during the twenties of our century. In the years 1923-1924 its members published, in addition to two magazines, the second volume of its first magazine, Creation Quarterly. The authors of short stories included in this volume were the renowned young writers Yü Ta-fu and Chang Tzu-p'ing as well as debutants like Ni I-te and Feng Yüan-chün. These short stories display several points, typical of the Creationists' literary works and views in their initial period: inclination towards romanticism, subjective style, intimate themes, melancholic tone, autobiographic elements.

STUDIES IN MODERN CHINESE LITERARY CRITICISM: VI. CHIANG KUANG-TZ'U'S' CONCEPT OF REVOLUTIONARY LITERATURE

Chiang Kuang-tz'u (1901-1931) was the first to have introduced the theory of revolutionary literature in China. After having studied four years in USSR (1920-1924) he came to China with a new literary creed. In his articles he introduced the contemporary Soviet literature, discussed the relation of revolution and literature and social life, and other problems concerned with the Chinese literature of that time. His theory of revolutionary literature was not Marxist but his ideas were a part of the broad trend of proletarian criticism in China.

TÜRKISCHE HISTORISCHE URKUNDEN AUS GEMER

Der Artikel macht drei Dokumente aus der zweiten Hälfte des 17.Jahrhunderts, die von den türkischen Behörden an die Bevölkerung der Gemerer Gespannschaft herausgegeben wurden, zugänglich. Die Dokumente betreffen Streitfragen im türkisch-ungarischen Grenzgebiet: die Rechte des Adels, die Steuererhebung und den Schutz der Bevölkerung vor der Eigenwilligkeit der niedrigeren türkischen Organe.

BUHTNASSARS FELDZUG GEGEN DIE ARABER

In dieser Studie werden die arabischen Quellen (Tafsir – Werke, Tabari und andere Historiker, Qisas al-anbiya Sammlungen) zum angeblichen Nebukadnezars Feldzug gegen die Araber analysiert. Es wird festgestellt, dass die koranische Exegese den ersten Impuls zum Entstehen dieser Erzählungen gab. Die Studie ist eine Ergänzung zum vorher veröffentlichen Aufsatz Islamische Legende überBuhtnassar (Graecolatina et Orientalia IV).

TYPOLOGISCHE AUSWERTUNG EINIGER EUROPÄISCHER UND WESTASIATISCHER REBELLENGESTALTEN AUF GRUND DER VOLKSDICHTUNG UND DEREN BEARBEITUNG IN DER KUNSTLITERATUR

Die Arbeit versucht, auf Grund der Volksdichtung und der literarischen Bearbeitungen die typologische Auswertung einiger europäischer und westastitischer Rebellengestalten zu bringen. Die Regesten der Resbellensagen und der Überlieferungen, die eine freie Ordnung der typischen Rebellengeschichten nach dem Ort der Entstehung darstellen, bilden die Grundlage der Arbeit. In der Typologie sind die gemeinsamen Grundzüge dieser Geschichten und die gemeinsame Motivierung zusammengefasst. Die Ergebnisse des Studiums sind im Schlusswort enthalten.
